Conti performed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for this 3.2 MW DC roof-mounted PV system, a distributed generation solar array which connects to the existing National Grid distribution system.
Conti entered into an EPC agreement with SolSystems to obtain the necessary permitting and then design and construct the array, including necessary electrical and coordination work to interconnect with the local utility. Conti transferred and assembled more than 10,000 solar panels on the manufacturing facility’s 515,540 square foot (over 13 acres) rooftop.
This project presented several challenges to the Conti team, including modifying interconnection designs halfway through the project, working with space restrictions and around existing HVAC equipment and the structural weight limitations of the roof. Through detailed design and planning, Conti met the size and production requirements of this project while minimizing the amount of material needed.
This large solar PV system, covering more than 13 acres of rooftop, was successfully installed and commissioned less than four months after mobilization.

Eversource, the largest utility in NH, MA and CT, was approved by their state regulators to develop, construct and operate 44MW of solar facilities across all of MA to directly save their rate payers money.
The American medical technology company, Becton Dickinson, wanted to implement sustainable measures to their syringe manufacturing facility in Canaan, CT.
Conti was contracted to engineer procure, construct and commission a 4.0 MWdc ground mount solar array on a farm field in Waconia, MN. The project was in the development stage for over a year before Conti was contracted to perform work.
